The Champions Golf Training Scholarship

For junior golf athletes who are serious about taking their game to the next level and beyond, Golf: Inside & Out will award 100 golf training scholarships to qualified junior golfers during 2007-2008. Over $220,000 in training scholarships will be awarded by January, 2009.

The Champions Golf Training Scholarship is a one-year program that will educate and train middle school and high school golf athletes with a ‘cutting edge’ integrated training model which includes physical skills (strength, range of motion, flexibility, speed), technical skills (putting, short game, and full swing) emotional intelligence (personal and social skills), mental skills (creating a vision and purpose statement, SMART goals, mental routines for practicing and competing, course management, and affirmations), and post-mental skills (self-observation, and cultivating higher emotional states when training, practicing, and competing).

The Champions Golf Training Scholarship has been approved by the Ohio State Athletic Association for meeting eligibility and amateur status by-laws and guidelines.
